The Advance Warning System (AWS) disseminates information to people with disabilities and others with access and functional needs through their service providers.


NYC Emergency Management is in the process of making improvements to the Advance Warning System, and we would love your feedback on how we can enhance the alerts and information we provide to your organization. Your input will help us better serve you and the communities you support during emergency events.

The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous unless you choose to share your contact information with us for further discussion of your feedback.

The Advance Warning System (AWS) alerts organizations who work with people with disabilities and access and functional needs to various types of hazards and emergencies in New York City that may affect people's independence and daily lives. Participating organizations receive public preparedness and emergency information that they can relay to their clients and other similar agencies.
