The Advance Warning System (AWS) disseminates information to people with disabilities and others with access and functional needs through their service providers. Please share the important information below with your clients and other agencies or individuals to empower them to make informed decisions.
Long Island Rail Road service may be suspended beginning on Saturday, 5/16 if ongoing contract negotiations do not reach a resolution. If this occurs, Long Island Rail Road customers should expect service suspensions along all LIRR stations.
To accommodate passengers, the MTA will provide limited shuttle bus service on weekdays for essential workers and those who cannot telecommute.
Accessible travel options will be available at LIRR and Queens stations. Customer Ambassadors will be assigned to each location to assist ADA customers.
